Born in Winston Salem, North Carolina Susan Andreasen began painting at
age two along side her mother. Inspired by the warm South, its people,
landscapes, blossoms, mountains, and above all nature; she developed
complex and substantial harmonies for the vivid colors in the background.
Susan studied at the Parson School of Desgin in New York City to develop
her talent in Fashion Illustration. She studied under Andy Warhol and Murray
Tinkelman and began her career in fashion illustration.
Today Susan Andreasen, creator of "Eco-Art" has devoted her career as an
environmentalist and dendangered species advocate. She promotes green
consumerism and environmental awareness in her artwork.
Susan enjoys a special relationship with nature that she likes to share with
the world through her art. her art is to be felt, not necessarily understood
or explained. She captures the emotions of her subjects on canvas and the
emotion that one feels when they are in their presence.
Susan blends her work of the classical ideas of her naturalist painting with
a unique contemporary style that is reminiscent of the modernists. She
concentrates on the bold and adventuresome use of color to capture light.
